SENIOR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Location: Full time, Onsite, Kentland, IN  

Position Summary:

As a Senior Operations Specialist, you will be a key leader within our Operations/Bookkeeping department, ensuring the integrity of our financial processes and guiding your team through daily operations while upholding our commitment to excellence and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Departmental Leadership & Scheduling: Develop and oversee daily, monthly, and annual departmental schedules, manage year-end procedures, and assist with disaster recovery testing.
• Advanced Transaction Processing & Reconciliation: Process wire and ACH payments with precision and reconcile daily critical account activity to maintain accurate financial records.
• Financial Reporting & Audit Support: Maintain the general ledger, prepare detailed reports for external auditors, and ensure all financial documentation meets compliance standards.
• Team Support & Cross-Training: Serve as backup to the Senior Operations Manager, provide first-line support to Operations Specialists, and lead cross-training initiatives to boost team expertise.
• Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Streamline operational tasks, ensure adherence to banking regulations, and participate in training to stay current with evolving processes and technologies.

Work Relationships and Scope:

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Operations Manager, CFO, and your fellow Operations Specialists, managing sensitive financial data and ensuring that all activities comply with our Information Security Policy. Your leadership and support are critical to maintaining a cohesive, high-performing team.
